Methodists re-schedule thrift sale
The First United Methodist Church in Tonkawa has officially rescheduled its Thrift Sale for Friday, June 4th and Saturday, June 5th. So start saving your pennies and put the date on your calendar. City-wide Garage Sales April 10
The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce announces their annual “SPRING” City Wide Garage Sales, Saturday – April 10, 2021 beginning at 7:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. Forms can be picked up at the Chamber office, request one by email (info@tonkawachamber.org) or download form from our website www.tonkawachamber.org. Deadline is Noon, Friday April 2, 2021. Maps and listings of each sale will be available at the chamber office, in the Tonkawa Newspaper, and most businesses on Friday & Saturday. Ribbon cutting set today
A ribbon cutting will be held thursday, March 18, at noon at the Tonkawa Medical Dispensary, 1909 E. North Avenue.
Ministerial Alliance needs your help
For decades the Tonkawa Ministerial Alliance has been able to serve those in need with utilities, groceries and emergency travel and lodging. However, due to COVID restrictions, the group was unable to have its two annual Easter and Thanksgiving fundraisers in 2020 and its funds are running out. With the recent freeze, utility bills will be higher and at the present moment, the alliance will be unable to help Consider helping serve this community by donating to the Tonkawa Ministerial Alliance. Every dollar helps keep the head and lights on, according to President Josh Reese. Town hall forum slated tonight
The Chamber is sponsoring a Town Hall Forum for the City Council election. It will be held from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, March 18 at the First National Bank Heritage Room. The public is asked to send their questions to the chamber office (102 E. Grand) by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021.
