Lucky Duck Derby July 4th
The annual Lucky Duck Derby sponsored by the Tonkawa High School Alumni Association, who is partnering with the Tonkawa Masonic Lodge for this event, will be held on Saturday, July 4th, immediately following the parade downtown Tonkawa at the canal on West Grand Avenue just west of the Christian Church. The cost to adopt a duck for the Derby is $5.00 each or 5 ducks for $20.00. Proceeds go toward THS Senior scholarships and THS projects. You do not need to be present to win.

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION – JULY 4TH Charles Conaghan is seeking parade entries. This year the Tiny Tot & Mr. Muscle will be held in Centennial Park prior to the parade( 11:00 a.m.) so they can be in the parade along with the decorated Bike/Trike/ATV winners. This will be held at the Methodist Church parking lot at 11:30 a.m. Andy Rogers will be holding Horseshoe Tournament at Blinn Park again this year.
CITY WIDE GARAGE SALES – AUGUST 1ST ….Everyone was disappointed the chamber cancelled in April and asked the chamber to hold their money for August. Methodist Church will not be joining the August garage sale.
ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE – SEPTEMBER 12TH … Blackwell Golf Course donated by the Tonkawa Tribe again this year…we will need your help!

Tonkawa Fourth of July planned
The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce will be having their 4th of July celebration with a parade that begins at noon followed by a bicycle/tricycle/atv decoration contest. Chamber sets annual car show
The Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce has set its annual “Good Vibrations” car show for saturday, Aug. 15, at Blinn Park. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will also be a bicycle show to coincide. Questions: Call 628-2220.
