Chamber Seeks Parade EntriesThe Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce is seeking parade entries for the Olde Tyme Christmas parade. The parade is on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 6:30 pm. There will be prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places for the most festive float entries. Judging this year will be held in the parking lot at Tonkawa High School. The floats will then line up at 4th & Grand beginning at 6:00 p.m. If anyone is interested in having an entry in the parade, please contact the Chamber office at 580-628-2220.Santa’s Mailbox at Mary’sSanta’s Mailbox will be at Mary’s Grill starting on November 27th. Stop by and drop your letter off or write your Santa letter while dining. On Thursday, November 30th the mailbox will be at the Art Center, 202 E. Grand, 5-8:00 p.m. during the Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration.Tonkawa’s Christmas Giving TreeGiving Tree Stars will be available at The Depot during the Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration on Thursday, November 30th, 5-8 p.m. Then, while you’re out this holiday season don’t forget to stop by First National Bank of Oklahoma or Gateway First Bank and pick up a star. Each star represents a child that needs something special this year. There are two ways you can help. Option one is to take a star and purchase items yourself for that child. Option two if you are not a big shopper you may pick a star and donate money and we will send an elf to purchase items for that child. Donations for the Giving Tree are always welcome.
