Slapout featured at Full Moon Concert
The Stillwater band Slapout will be performing at Full Moon Concert Tuesday, July 16 in Tonkawa Centennial Park, 301 East Grand in Tonkawa. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free.
Paint & Go project set for July 18
The North Central Oklahoma Arts Council is hosting a free “Paint & Go” art party on Thursday, July 18 in the Northern Oklahoma College Creative Arts Building Room 120.
The “Paint & Go” event will be from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
All community members are welcome (ages 10 to adult) to enjoy a free “Paint & Go” where they will create paintings of chair images on a small canvas and donate their paintings to the NCOAC Chair-ity Event fund raiser set for Sept. 26 at the Tonkawa Casino.

Leadership Tonkawa applications taken
Applications are open now for Leadership Tonkawa classes beginning Sept. 18. The application deadline is aug. 1. class size is limited to 12. enroll early. Apply at the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce office at 102 E. Grand.
Band concert at Lamont Saturday
Witness 731 -- a Christian contemporary band -- will be in concert 6:45 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Lamont Community Park. The concert is an outreach of Your Family Church of Enid.
‘Good Vibrations’ car show Aug. 17
The annual “Good Vibrations” car and truck show and bicycle contest will be Saturday, Aug. 17 at Blinn Park in Tonkawa. It is sponsored by the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Caregivers support group in Tonkawa
The Kay County Caregivers support group meets from 4-6 p.m. the first Monday of every month at 118 S. Seventh, Tonkawa, across the street from the Tonkawa city offices. It is sponsored by long term care authority and the Area Agency of Aging.
