Tonkawa Police Department’s newest Police Officer, Ryan Potter, was officially sworn in by the Honorable Drew Ewbank (Tonkawa Municipal Associate Judge) on May 11, 2020. Officer Potter was born and raised in Arkansas City, KS and graduated Arkansas City Christian Academy in 2010. Officer Potter attended Cowley County Community College. He and his wife have been married for seven years and have two boys. Officer Potter has always loved law enforcement and graduated the Council on Law Enforcement Education & Training (CLEET) Basic Peace Officer Academy in July of 2016. He was employed with the Newkirk Police Department for almost four and a half years.
