Tonkawa Head Football Coach Mike Kirtley has been at Tonkawa 37 of his 39 years of coaching. He begins his 21st year as head coach. One of Tonkawa’s most successful coaches, he has three state championships, two runners-up and five district titles. In 20 years as head coach, he has 171 wins and 72 losses. He was recognized during the recent Oklahoma All-State Games for his career wins. The Oklahoma Coaches Association presented Kirtley with a plaque. Cameron Jackson played in the game as an all-state running back on the East squad last Friday night at Shawnee.
