Tonkawa midhi football teams split a twinbill with Perry Monday night.The seventh grade won 22-0. The eighth grade lost 8-12.Both teams see action next Monday, Sept. 20, vs. Blackwell at 4:30 p.m. Both games will be at Buc Stadium.Kace Tautfest scored the first toucsxhdown and ran for the two point conversion to give the Bucs an 8-0 lead.The next two were passes from Cason Johnson to Bly Frieouf, the first TD from 49 yards away and the second from 32 yards out. Both came in the third quarter. Tautfest ran for the two points after the first pass.Carter Lopeman intercepted a Perry pass during the game.In the eighth grade game, the Bucs fell behind 6-0 the first minute of the first quarter.Lucas Keith scored the lone touchdown for Tonkawa on a 22 yard run. Westyn Freeman ran for the two point conversion to put the Bucs up 8-6. That came in the third quarter after a fumble recovery by Johnson. Conner DeWitt also had a fumble recovery. Tate Coffey had an interception.Perry didn’t score the winning TD until the final minute of the ball game.
