The Tonkawa Lions Club is on the verge of closing due to a lack of membership.The local club will meet Thursday, June 9, at Mary’s Grill to determine its fate. Any interested in joining the club may attend the June meeting.In order to remain a viable chapter, the club must have 20 members and the club currently has 16, though Lions Club International has relaxed the membership requirements due to COVID-19.Tonkawa has had a local club since 1927.The meeting is set for 11:30 a.m. on June 9.
