The City of Tonkawa has contracted Diemer Construction and began to collect and remove ice storm tree debris Monday, City Manager Kirk Henderson announced this week. This collection process may take a few weeks to complete, Henderson said.
This collection process may take a few weeks to complete, Henderson said.
Ice storm tree debris will be the only item picked up. Tree limbs must be placed at the curb (not in the street nor on sidewalks) and away from obstructions like poles, mailboxes, trees, and water and gas meters. Do not place tree debris in alleyways, Henderson warned. Crews will not pick up debris that is blocked by vehicles parked in the street. Please park vehicles in driveways so as not to impede the tree debris removal process, Henderson urged.
“Thank you for your patience as we work through this process together,” the city manager ended.
