A full day of Homecoming activities will be held Friday, Oct. 8, in Tonkawa.The schedule follows:9 a.m. -- Homecoming coffee at 9 a.m.12:30 p.m. -- School dismissed.1 p.m. -- Assembly at Event Center2:30 p.m. -- Parade will follow assembly7 p.m. -- High school football vs. Watonga at 7 p.m. with queen coronation at halftime.Vying for queen are Emma Owen, SaVannah Linton and Gloria Reyes. Vying for king are Miccael Brown, Kai Day and Noah Campbell. Flower girl will be Ella Owen and crown bearer will be Matthaeus Brown.BIOGRAPHIES OF CANDIDATESEmma Owen is the daughter of Jeremy and Annie Owen; the granddaughter of Mike and Gaye Owen of Tonkawa and Cindy Grubb of Ponca City. She is President of the Student Council, a member of National Honors Society and a 2021 delegate of Girls State. She has played basketball for four years, ran track for three years and is currently on the cheer team. She attends PC Life church. After graduation she plans to attend college and major in the medical field.Kai Day is the son of Jennifer Burns/Kevin Miller and Josh Day. He is the grandson of Kim Burns, and the late John Burns, Aaron and Hewetta Wilson and Pat Miller and the late Eddie Miller. He is a member of Extended Studies and the National Honor Society. Kai has participated in football for four years and baseball for four years. He plans to attend NOC after graduation.SaVannah Linton is the daughter of Jimmy and Michelle Linton of Tonkawa. She is the younger sister to Ashton Linton and older sister to Easton Linton. She is the granddaughter of Larry and Betty Davis and Jim and Pam Linton all of Tonkawa. SaVannah has been a wrestling mat-maid for two years, she played softball for one year, she has been a Buccaneer football cheerleader for four years, and is also one of this year’s cheer captains. She is in Extended Studies, a member of the National Honor Society, and Humanitarian Club. She is currently a Student Council representative for the senior class. SaVannah was also selected as an Oklahoma girls state delegate her junior year. After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year college but will always be a buccaneer fan.Noah Campbell is the son of Kurt and Sarah Campbell.
