Private family burial for Hilda Lou Lowe, 98, Tonkawa resident was held on April 18, 2020 at the Lamont Cemetery under the guidance of Terry Ballard, Pastor, First Baptist Church, Tonkawa, OK. Arrangements were under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Hilda Lou (Sullivan) Lowe was born on April 21, 1921 in Cedar Vale, Kansas to Neal and Cora (Hess) Sullivan and passed away peacefully in her home on April 13, 2020.
She married James A. Lowe on March 28, 1948. Hilda retired from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lowe, her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter Luann (Randy) Long, Tonkawa, her son, Douglas (Michael) Lowe, Pearland, Texas; three grandsons, Joshua (Sarah) Long of Bartlesville, OK, Wayne (Andrea) Long of Fairview, OK and Daniel Long of Tonkawa; and five greatgrandchildren.
