GRAND Mental Health is making their way to Tonkawa and other rural communities this week through a new pilot program known as the GRAND Care-A-Van Mobile Mental Health Access. This program offers vital mental health services to rural Oklahoma communities that might not have as much access to them.According to their website, GRAND Mental Health has begun this program to allow residents of these smaller areas to have access to their enrollment process without the hassle of commuting to their nearest facility. These services may include individual counseling, family therapy, housing support, job placement assistance, court support, Medicaid enrollment, and more. The GRAND Care-A-Van Mobile Mental Health Access will be in Tonkawa on Thursday, August 29 from 9 am to 6 pm at the Tonkawa Public Library at 216 N 7th St. While appointments are not required, residence can preschedule a time with one of GRAND Mental Health’s behavioral health specialists if they wish to do so. That can be set up by the resident emailing community@grandmh.com.
