Northern Oklahoma College Nursing Administrative Assistant Dianna Ditmore is retiring after 30 years at NOC.
She was introduced by Dr. Nikole Hicks, Nursing Division Chair.
Ditmore began her career with Northern Oklahoma College in July of 1992. Dianna has spent her entire career at Northern as the Staff Assistant to the Nursing Division. During her time at Northern she has seen much change and growth in the college. The Nursing department was on the third floor of Harold Hall when Ditmore came to work and it wasn’t until 2007 that they moved to their new home in the Renfro Center. She has provided assistance to several division chairs over the years as well as traveled to assist on the Enid and Stillwater campuses.
She will officially retire on June 30, 2021 stating, “When we moved back home 29 years ago, my job at NOC made the transition so seamless. These have been the most rewarding working years of my life. As I reflect on my career, I have nothing but the most respect for this institution and the colleagues that have become like a second family to me. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a great group of faculty and staff over the years. Many students have treated me like I am family and I truly love them all.”
“While I am sad that this chapter of my life is closing, I am excited for the next chapter to open. I wish NOC nothing but continued success in the coming years,” she added.
Ditmore was honored among 13 retirees Friday at the Renfro Center at NOC Tonkawa.
Honorees included Tom Ellis, gardener at Tonkawa; Amy Foss, Controller; Jeff Foss, Network Server Administrator; Deborah Garroutte, Director of Project Achieve at Enid; Raydon Leaton, Vice President for NOC Enid, Laura Marshall, Business Instructor at Tonkawa; Dr. Cathy Moore, Division Chair and Language Arts Instructor; Fritz Osell, Astronomy Instructor at Enid; Cindy Fox, Admission/Registration Specialist; Dianna Ditmore, Staff Assistant for Division of Nursing; Rick Lowe, Tonkawa Security; and Mary Skidmore, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Enid.
