The City of Tonkawa has set a new record for sales tax collections, City Clerk Nancy Skipper announced this week.
For fiscal year 2019 the city has received $1,500,120 in sales tax revenue.
That’s up from the previous record set in 2015 of $1,469,346.

The city’s use tax continues to hold steady, Skipper said.
For 2019, the city collected $117,431. That compares to 98,748 in 2018, 113,382 in 2017, 64,117 in 2016, 127,056 in 2015, 85,412 in 2014, 67,192 in 2013, and 91,424 in 2012.
