Tonkawa city councilmen approved several items at their Aug. 18 meeting.
Mayor Ken Smith and Councilmen Glenn Cope, Jack Evans, Scott Klufa and Stacy Burns took the following actions:
-- Approved the financial report. The city has total cash of $8,271,853 with $2,642,215 in unrestricted cash and $5,629,438 in restricted cash.
-- Approved the residential anti-displacement and relocaton assistance plan for the 2020 CDBG program for waterline improvements.
-- Approved proclamation for The fair Housing Act prohibiting discrimination.
-- Approved CDBG 2020 administration contract with Mareta Woodward for $20,000.
-- Approved making five-ton military bed surplus and donating it to the Elm Creek Rural Fire Department.
-- Approved the auditor’s letter of engagement for the audit of fiscal year 2020 with fees not to exceed $10,950.
-- Approved invoice from Solomon Corporation for $8,000 for a padmount for the elementary school addition.
-- Approved an invoice from Parkhill Smith and Cooper (formerly Cardinal Engineering) for $2,200 for CDBG waterline improvement project.
-- Approved invoice from Parkhill Smith and Cooper for tonkawa property boundary survey for the OWRB new water wells standpipe and water lines at I-35 and Hwy 60 for $1,800.
-- Approved $21,559 invoice from Parkhill Smith and Cooper for engineering on the OWRB new water wells standpipe and water lines at I-35 and Hwy 60.
-- Approved a resolution to file application to the water resources board for the loan for the I-35 water project.
-- Approved $25,961.25 for repairs to the in-town water basin pump from Global Energy Solutions.
-- Approved $37,108.93 and $548 invoices from Circle S. Sprinklers, LLC for repairs to the irrigation system to be paid from insurance claim submitted to Great american Insurance Company for $37,015.
