Hi again, Bucs! The boys are back with a win against Morrison on the football field last Friday. This week they will venture to OK Union in hopes to walk away with another victory.The Academic Team will head to Pawhuska on Wednesday to play against the host team and Newkirk. There are Parent/Teacher Conferences on both Tuesday and Thursday from four to seven, so if there are questions for a student’s teacher, this is the time to bring them to attention.I’ve selected a quote this week that I am particularly fond of. The great poet Maya Angelou once wrote, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” An often forgotten aspect of the human experience is perhaps the most simple: treating others how they ought to be treated, not because they have earned it in one person’s opinion but because they are humans with emotions and the capacity to make mistakes. It is said to forgive and forget, and the forgetting is the most difficult part. Because of this, we as the human race should strive to treat others with the empathy and compassion that we would wish to be treated.
