Join the Billings Churches for Vacation Bible School July 15, 16 and 17. Dinner will be served at the Billings Baptist church at 5:30 p.m. Classes will be at the Billings Christian Church at 6:30 p.m. Pick up is at 8:45 p.m. Registration is July 14 at the Community building from 6-7 p.m. with “Free Eats.” After registrations, children can swim free at the pool. Learned reported he presented Academic Achievement Medals on behalf of the Chamber to Billings “straight A” students Erica Nightengale and Ty Haynes at the Billings School Awards Assembly in May. Aimie Learned, School Board member, reported a new Superintendent, Corey Saucer, was hired at a recent School Board Meeting. Learned also reported the school will be holding movie nights throughout the summer and funds raised from concessions will be used for the new high school girls’ volleyball team.
Town Hall News – The swimming pool is closed for repair but should reopen by June 21st. Ben Miller, a newcomer to the Billings Community, has donated season swimming passes to all children residing in Billings. The Town of Billings is receiving purchase bids for the gas station/convenience store located on Highway 15 and the old grocery store(building only) on Main street through June 28, 2019.
