The annual Lucky Duck Derby sponsored by the Tonkawa High School Alumni Association, partnering with the Tonkawa Masonic Lodge, will be held on Monday, July 4th, immediately following the parade downtown Tonkawa at the canal on West Grand Avenue just west of Treasures on Grand (previously the Christian Church).Ducks can be adopted for the Derby at the First National Bank, Gateway First Bank, Tonkawa Chamber Office, Sarah Campbell’s Dental Office, Mike’a Payne d/b/a Plush Salon, Williams Construction, and the Tonkawa Library. You may also adopt a duck from any THS Alumni Board member (Jeremy Owen, Jill Shackelford, Melinda Glasgow, David Fruits, Debbie Flanery, Jennie Evans, Chris LaBlue, Randy Caughlin and Reta Swords) or from individuals: Debby Randall, Lori Simpson, Dawn Huff, Michelle Owen, Ruth Jeffries, Lori Evans, Ty Williams & Jennifer Burns. Ducks may also be adopted at Venture Foods beginning Saturday, June 1st through Wednesday, July 3rd or until we sell out.Ducks can be adopted for $5.00 each or 5 ducks for $20.00. Proceeds go toward graduating THS Senior scholarships and THS projects.
