Tonkawa and Newkirk will have school board elections April 6.
In Tonkawa, incumbent Mary Allan will face challenger Brian Bowling for office one and a five year term.
Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at the Church of Christ and United Methodist Church in Tonkawa.
Tonkawa’s Orva Rothgeb was unopposed for a new five year term on the Pioneer Tech board from zone four.
In Newkirk, Landon Carpenter will face Jeff Schieber. Offices for which Declaration of candidacy accepted at the

Filing was Dec. 7-9 for office one on the Tonkawa Board of Education.
Filing was from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kay County Election Board at the County Courthouse in Newkirk Dec. 7-9.
Cheryl Howard, Secretary of the Kay County Election Board, said the filing period ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 9th.
The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled April 6, 2021.
