Mike Kirtley football camp June 1-4
The annual Mike Kirtley Football camp will be June 1-4 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Buc Stadium.
Football fundamentals include blocking and tackling, passing and catching, ball security, takeaways, punting, kicking ad more will be taught. These will be light contact drills and flag football games. Participants should bring their own shoulder pads and helmet.

Volunteers for Memorial Day flags
Dawn Huff is seeking volunteers needed to place flags on the veterans graves at the Tonkawa IOOF cemetery. The flags will be put out at 5 p.m. Friday , May 28 and picked up on Monday, May 31, at 5 p.m. Volunteers are needed for both days and times.
THS alums will meet June 1st
THS Alumni will meet on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. @ the THS Library.
Cheerleader car wash will be June 5th
Tonkawa HS/MH Ceerleaders will be having their rescheduled car wash on Saturday June 5, 2021 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m,. Weather permitting. Carwash is by donation only. Please come out and support your cheerleaders!!
Retired teachers meet Tuesday
The Kay County Retired Educators Association will be meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the Lake Ponca Shelter House #3. The meeting will begin with a short business meeting at 10:30 a.m. followed by a time to share a meal and renew friendships. The KCREA is open to any retired educator or support staff in Kay County and is the local affiliate of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Assocation.
The meal is being catered by Danny’s BBQ Headquarters and those who plan to attend need to RSVP with their name to Cindy at 580-763-7192. You may call or text her.
Local officers are currently Cindy Watson, President; Nancy Niemann, treasurer; Shirley Neal, secretary; and Royce Caldron, membership.
Methodists re-schedule thrift sale
The First United Methodist Church in Tonkawa has officially rescheduled its Thrift Sale for Friday, June 4th and Saturday, June 5th. So start saving your pennies and put the date on your calendar.
