Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) was pleased to present Gary Harvey President and Owner of MJ&H Fabrication with the “Friends of Trade and Industry (T&I) Award this month. This recognition is awarded to individuals or organizations who have contributed significantly and provided exceptional support to Trade and Industrial Education programs and/or SkillsUSA in Oklahoma. Harvey was selected by members of the T&I division during the annual CareerTech Educator’s Conference at Oklahoma Summit. Traci Thorpe, Superintendent/CEO of Pioneer Tech presented the award at MJ&H this week. “Gary is always willing to provide work-based learning opportunities for welding students. With his support, PTC has hosted a “Weld to Work” competition that guarantees employment to the winning contestant. He is very deserving of the Friends of T&I Award and is an excellent partner with Pioneer Tech.” The Weld to Work competition has also included students from Meridian Tech, Autry Tech and Cowley College.
