Skylee Perkins Friday night was crowned 2021 Tonkawa high school basketball Homecoming Queen. She was crowned by Captain Colton Anson.
Other attendants included Mikayla Myer, Elian Pando, Nathan Anderson and Canton Daniel. Flower girl was Evelynn Gottman and the crown bearer was Mason Pando.

Skylee Perkins is the daughter of Kris and Lindsey Perkins and the sister of Brayden, Malarie and Taiven. The granddaughter of James Grace and the late Sherri Grace of Kaw City and Mike and Krista Perkins of New Mexico. Skylee has played softball for four years and basketball for four years. She was a state qualifier for track throwing discus her freshman year. Because of covid she didn’t get to run track her junior year but plans on continuing with it her senior year. Skylee is a member of the National Honor Society, Humanitarian Club, and Student Council. Skylee plans on continuing her education at NOC and studying to be a x-ray technician.
Canton Daniel is the son of Amber and Branson Daniel. His grandparents are Joe and Karen Kleinschmidt, as well as Joyce and Tom Daniel. He has played basketball for three years at Tonkawa. In Canton’s free time he likes to hang out with his friends and girlfriend, play games and annoy his mon. He worked at Simple Simon’s since Sophomore year. After graduating Canton plans on becoming an electrician.
Colton Anson is the son of Cindy Anson, the late Bobby Brown, Jr., and William and LeAnn Janice. He is the grandson of the late Don and Debra Cox and the late Bobby Brown, Sr. and Patsy Bell. He has three brothers Kodi Cox, Cory Anson, Kyle Anson, and a sister Kaiden Anson. Colton has played basketball for two years. He is a member of Student Council, has been in Quiz Bowl for two years, been a member of the yearbook staff for two years, and serves as Vice President of the Humanitarian Club. Outside of school, Colton enjoys spending time with his friends and family. Colton is a member of the Tonkawa Assembly of God. He enjoys watching sports, and playing basketball. After high school, Colton plans to attend NOC for two years and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva for two years to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Government. He plans on becoming a Government teacher and hopes to one day teach here at Tonkawa.
