Pioneer Area Quilters Guild met recently in the Gravity Room at the City Central Building in Ponca City for their holiday meeting. Christmas decorations on the tables created a festive setting for the monthly business meeting, door prize drawing, and updates from members. A taco bar lunch was served by the board. Show and Share followed lunch where members displayed over 40 beautiful quilts that were completed during the Coronavirus pandemic when the guild was unable to meet in person.Pioneer Area Quilters guild’s focus is to promote the art of quilting. The group meets the first Monday of the month at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 1904 Pecan Road, Ponca City Oklahoma. If the first Monday falls on a holiday the meeting is scheduled on another Monday. Several times a year the guild hosts luncheons or sewing days that benefit local charitable causes. The public is always welcome to attend, however, we do ask individuals join the group after two visits. If you have questions or need further information, please contact president Kim Walling at 918-214-4060 or tundratoy71@yahoo.com.
