Oklahoma American Legion Boys State: “A week that shapes a lifetime” of Oklahoma’s best and brightest high school students. Tonkawa American Legion Post #71 in partnership Frontier High School has selected the 2020 and 2021 Boys State delegates and appreciates the sponsorship made possible by Exchange Bank & Trust of Perry, Oklahoma. Due to Covid, the 2020 Boys State was cancelled but fortunately for 2021, The Oklahoma American Legion Boys State will be in person and will also include individuals selected as the 2020 delegates. Oklahoma American Legion Boys State is a week-long discovery of the essence of civic duty, citizenship, patriotism and understanding the American system of government and politics through participation and hands-on learning. This is only made possible by the support of sponsors such as Exchange Bank and Trust and is greatly appreciated so that the American Legion can provide the opportunity to learn about service and leadership to young men all across the state of Oklahoma. Pictured with Exchange Bank and Trust Vice President Connelly Wade is Frontier High School 2020 Boys State Delegate Tyler Cottle and 2021 Delegate Saul Hernandez. Tyler, 2021 graduate of Frontier HIgh School is the son of Patrick and Marci Sullivan. His hobbies include bowling, cooking and minor construction. Tyler plans to continue his education at Meridian Technology Center in the fall pursuing the skills and certifications to be an electrician. Saul Hernandez is the 2021 delegate and will be a Senior at Frontier High School. His mother is Amanda Goodman and grandparents are Paula & Prudencio Mendoza. His hobbies include hanging out with friends, playing games with his brother as well as baseball, bowling and basketball. Saul plans to attend college to further his education following his graduation from Frontier High School in 2022
