First grade teachers at Tonkawa Elementary School received 40 new books for their ‘Rooted in Reading’ program thanks to generous donations from the Tonkawa Alumni Association, Mary’s Cafe, and the Veterans and Sports Committee of the Alumni Association. The Tonkawa Public Library facilitated the donation by purchasing the books with the money donated by these groups.
