Selected as an alternate in the band was Sharon Kay Greer, clarinetist, of Tonkawa high school.
Of the 119 musically gifted young men and women, 11 also will perform with the All-State orchestra.
The All-State Band, Orchestra and Chorus will gather for rehearsals Feb. 23-25 on the OU campus in preparation for an All-State combined concert at 2 p.m. Feb. 26 in Oklahoma City’s municipal auditorium.
The three All-State events were combined for the first time this year, so that participating students will miss a minimum of their regular classwork.
