Cityan Is Named Insurance Agent
Niki Mugg, recent graduate of Oklahoma State university with
Niki Mugg, recent graduate of Oklahoma State university with a degree in insurance, this week began training as an agent for Mutual Life Insurance company of New York.
During the training phase, Mugg will be working in the field and office of Oren Art, Ponca City, assistant manager of MONY. Mugg graduated from Tonkawa High school in 1956, from

He will become MONY’s Tonkawa agent immediately following duty with the Air National Guard in August and will establish an office at the Mugg Insurance agency here.
Joe Hubbell Wins Commander’s Post
Joe Hubbell, principal of Tonkawa High school and veteran of World War II, was Monday elected commander of Tonkawa’s American Legion post in an election held at Legion hall.
Elected vice-commander was Jay Liles, music and education director of the First Baptist Church and also a veteran of World War II.
Other officers elected for the coming year were: A. D. Buck, adjutant; R. L. Crowder Jr., finance officer; M. A. Stephens, sergeant-at-arms; Glen Strange, historian; W. S. Marsh, chaplain; and Elmer S. Rutherford, service officer.

Warren L. White Leaves For Bangkok Post
Warren L. White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville White, Lamont, and grandson of Mrs. Mary Myrtle White, 215 North Ninth, has accepted a two year assignment with the Oklahoma State university field study team at Bangkok, Thailand.
White was formerly in the repair business at Lamont and at one time worked at Frank Taylor’s here and has been an electrical systems instructor at Oklahoma State Tech diesel department, Okmulgee, since 1966.
He will assist the team in organization and opening a diesel training school in Thailand for using the Thewes Vocational Teachers college in Bangkok and 14 area vocational-technical schools organized throughout the country by OSU.
He will be accompanied by his wife Laura who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Honick, Newkirk and their four children, Tony, 17; Sondra, 16; Dennis, 14 and Debbie, 2 ½.
White hopes to have the diesel program in operation by the end of the first year before returning to the United States and OSU Tech in 1972. He served with the army in Europe as ...
