Local FHA Girls Film TV Feature
“What do you wear at the FHA rally” will be a television feature of KVOO-TV from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday. The filmed style show was written, prepared and staged by 10 members of the Tonkawa Future Homemakers chapter.
The show was filmed by the girls and their advisor, Mrs. Eloise Scheirman, in Tulsa Wednesday. The presentation displays and describes appropriate dress for members planning to attend the state rally March 26 in Oklahoma City.
Tonkawa’s portion of the show over Channel 2 is from 7:45-8 a.m.
The script for the show was written by Mary Lynne Norris and Marsha Mattox, who narrates the show. Appearing on the program are Marilyn Heady, Tana Wood, Marilyn Bewley, Jill Harris, Karen Gravel, Mary Dunn, Judy Asbury and Georgia Ann Taylor.
Mrs. G. W. Scoles Leads Lesson for Mary Circle Meeting in Asbury Home
Mrs. G. W. Scoles presented the first portion of the study book “Luke’s Portrait of Christ” by Charles M. Laymon for members of the Mary circle when they met for the March session Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. R. S. Asbury, assisted by Mrs. Lin Trueblood, Mrs. Harry Wellman and Mrs. David Buhrman, was hostess for the dessert meeting.
Mrs. Scoles opened her program by comparing the synoptic gospels, and giving a general background of the life of Luke. She was assisted by Mrs. Weldon Barron, Mrs. L. D. McNeil, Mrs. Jim Harney and Mrs. Tracy Peck.
Mrs. Sidney Cunningham presented the devotionals which emphasized the scripture “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord” and continued the lesson theme.
Mrs. Gene Dixon, circle leader, presided during the afternoon which included routine reports and a discussion of the Father-Son banquet of the church to be held Wednesday, March 16.
Attending were Mrs. Sterling Gilbert, Mrs. Roy Fath, Mrs. Clarence Helton, Mrs. Harney, Mrs. Dixon, Mrs. McNeil, Mrs. Peck, Mrs. Scoles, Mrs. Preston Proctor. Mrs. Clyde Williams, Mrs. Barron, Mrs. W. L. Gorman, Mrs. R. W. Small, Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. K. K. Kendall, Ponca City.
