Barry Cook Wins Top Prize In Football Contest The two top winners in last week’s Football Contest picked the upset, Missouri over Nebraska correctly and missed only one game to take the top prize money. Luckily, no one in the area lost their life in the flood.Water reached record levels in both rivers. It was estimated that the Salt Fork river crested at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at 29 feet. The figure is only an estimate since all of the river reading instruments were reported underwater at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Flood stage on the Salt Fork is 17 feet. The Chikaskia crested at 33.80 feet at Blackwell, the official measuring station. Flood stage is 26 feet. Salt Fork was down to 16.47 feet at 8:10 a.m. today.Tonkawa police and firemen worked around the clock with boats and assisted a helicopter crew of the 4th Flight Platoon, 507th Medical Company, Ft.
