Hamand, city auditor. He said last year the comparable budget was $519,023.45 but at that time the city had a budget and the Tonkawa Public Works Authority had another budget.He said last year the expenditures for the year excluding debt service, were $489,820.56. The new budget calls for like items and most of the increase is in personal service for salary increases for city employees. He said $30,000 has been put into the budget in general government in order for the council to have “more control over expenditures”. Hamand said the council requested the money but put in the general fund so that it can be used if there is a bonafide need for it but it will not be used if it is not necessary.Surplus for the past fiscal year was $77,035.84. For the coming year debt service principal and interest will total $68,712.50 for outstanding trust indebtedness.The new budget was approved by the council in a special called session last Tuesday afternoon at the city hall.Mrs. Mugg Is Hostess For Xi Alpha PiXi Alpha Pi met Monday evening in the home of Mrs. Altha Mugg.
