50 years ago, September 6, 1973Terry Edmondson Is New Minister At Church of ChristMr. Terry Edmondson recently assumed duties as minister of the Tonkawa Church of Christ. He and his wife, Linda and two sons, Terry Don and Travis, reside at 500 N. 7th.Edmondson is a native of Cassville, Missouri. Upon graduation from high school he attended Oklahoma Christian college, Oklahoma City, owned and operated a farm in Cassville and worked part time with area congregation.He was affiliated with the Hottel Springs Church of Christ near Seneca, Mo., before attending the Preston Road School of Preaching for two years. He graduated in August.While in Tonkawa he will be working with the Campus Youth Center located at 1000 East Grand.Official Count At NOC Is Now 1,243 Students Enrollment at Northern Oklahoma College has reached 1,243 according to information released through Rex Herren, registrar last Friday.Although students may continue to enroll until September 10, the indication is that enrollment figures will be slightly lower this semester than in previous fall semesters.Dr. Edwin E. Vineyard said “there had been a concern since late June that enrollment might not exceed previous figures.”Vineyard explained that from a general observation of colleges within Oklahoma there was a slowing trend in student enrollment. He blamed the problem on the “trend of the times.”At Northern much of the difficulty has been due to a leveling off in the numbers of commuting students.Both Vineyard and Herren suggested that a final enrollment figure would be available in mid-September and that this figure would be substantial increase over today’s count.Mrs. McNitt Is Hostess To Beta Sigma Phi Beta Sigma Phi met Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Carol McNitt.
