Gasoline Shortage Hits Tonkawa Area; Many Stations Report Short SuppliesThe gasoline shortage which has been felt in other areas of the country hit the Tonkawa area during the past few days according to city service station owners. The picture here ranges from business as usual at a few stations to others who have already drawn on a portion of their July quota in an attempt to keep going through June. Some have run completely out of either regular or premium but none reported being out of both at the same time.Most service station and bulk dealers felt that the situation hopefully will improve in July when the unusual demand for fuel during the wheat harvest is over. Practically all said they were on some type of quota based on either 1972 or 1971 gallonage figures.41 From Tonkawa Listed On Honor Roll At NorthernListings of honor students from Northern Oklahoma College include 41 from Tonkawa. Two types of academic honor are cited by the college.Those making straight “A” are named to the president’s honor roll, and those making a “B” average or better are named to the dean’s honor roll.
