“A Time For Prayer”
There are times for Prayer! Well, certainly, all times are “Times for Prayer”, but especially, perhaps, NOW. For God has said, (in 2nd Chronicles 7:14) “If my people who are called by my Name humble themselves, PRAY, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will heal from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. Our land, our nation, and really, our world needs God’s healing touch to cease the epidemic that is abroad.
In the Bible’s book of Numbers, a plague was stopped as Moses and Aaron made atonement for the people and “stood between the dead and the living; and the plaque was stopped”. God did it then and God can do it now. Last Sunday, although we couldn’t come together in worship time, we could “come together” in prayer time. I called a few folks and said “lets pray together” for one another, the church, and the world. May I ask all of you, “Let’s pray together”, for one another, for the whole church, and for the whole world, that God’s saving, healing power may be spread abroad now for healing in our land and our world. As I have said, God has done it before and God can do it again. Remember, the Apostle James wrote, “Pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective”. As one of our hymns says, “What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.” And another says, “Take time to be Holy, speak oft with thy Lord.” Good advise for all of us. “It’s Time for Prayer,”
