Hello again, Bucs!Another week gone, another week past, and the Bucs have kept busy as always! The football game was the scene of Senior Night this last Friday where the seniors involved in football including players, ballgirls, cheerleaders, band, and color guard were recognized. Some tears were shed at the realization that this was the last home game of the year, and these seniors will not be around for the Friday Night Lights in the same manner of involvement, but also some smiles for all these students have achieved! The Bucs suffered a setback in the form of a 13-0 loss to Hominy, but we are shoving it out of our brains and moving on to prepare ourselves for our next game, which is against Chelsea. The cross country regionals resulted in Bly Frieouf being state-bound. State competition will be this weekend at Edmond Santa Fe, so wish him well!Band finished out the marching season with an eighth place earning last Saturday. Congratulations to our Pride of Tonkawa! Academic Bowl plays in Frontier on the 26th in effort to prepare for Regionals, which will be in November. This week is Red Ribbon week as well! Participate in the themes by wearing plaid, tie dye, dressing up like a celebrity, and Hawaiian day. Say no to drugs, Tonkawa!
