Hey Tonkawa!
I hope everyone is doing well! This week my “Buc of the Week” has actually turned into “Bucs of the Week.” I have chosen to honor all four of the baseball seniors and give them a little bit of the recognition they deserve. I have loved managing the baseball team for the past three years. I can tell you, these four boys are awesome. They are the hard working leaders that every team needs. You can see the love they have for the game both on and off the field. On top of that, they are all really great people who will move forward to do great things. In case you did not already know, these boys are: Parker Miller, Blake Scott, Cody Morgan, and Dylan Hamilton.
I asked Dylan what he missed most about school and his sports. He replied, “The thing I miss most about school and sports is getting to hangout with my friends. We always were laughing it up in the dugout and having a good time.” I can tell you, this is true. The team was always having a great time together! Then, I asked him what he would have done differently on his last day of school if he would have known he wouldn’t go back after spring break. Dylan said, “I would’ve said bye to all of my teachers and friends that I would not get to see again. I also would’ve gone somewhere better to eat for lunch since it was my last day of high school.”
Next, I asked Cody what his biggest accomplishment this school year was and what he was planning on accomplishing. Cody said that his biggest accomplishment was “making it through highschool.” Which is a great accomplishment! Then, he said, “I was planning on graduating.” I switched gears and asked Cody what he is excited to do after quarantine is finally over. Cody is excited to hang out with his friends, he said that was the first thing he’s going to do. Cody’s plans on going to work on the pipeline in the future.
Next is Parker. I asked Parker what he was most looking forward to in the upcoming months that got cancelled or postponed. Parker said, “I was looking forward to possibly going to state this year. I also was looking forward to graduation.” Then, I asked Parker how he felt about not being able to finish ...
