Sheldon Denoya and Lizeth Ulate are the Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) September Students of the Month. Denoya is a senior at POHI and part of the Welding Program at PTC. His instructor calls him an exemplary student who has shown major progress. He is commended for being on time, polite, and not afraid to ask questions. Lizeth Ulate with the Teacher Preparation Program and also a senior at POHI is eager to learn more about her industry. Her instructor praises her course work and the time she spends in the Children’s Lab. Ulate is a member of NTHS (National Technical Honor Society) and part of the PTC Student Ambassadors. Students of the month are given a Pioneer Tech refill cup and a certificate of achievement. Students can fill up their cups with their favorite beverages at no cost for the entire month. Katelyn Watkins is the Pioneer Technology Center(PTC) August Student of the Month. An adult student from Ponca City, Watkins represents the Practical Nursing (PN) Program. “Katelyn is dedicated, compassionate, works well with others, and always has a positive attitude with a smile. Ponca City Jubilee closed rest of month due to COVID

The Ponca City Jubilee will be closed throughout the month of October. It will reopen Nov 6th at 6:30 p.m. They are closing for the month due to covid precautions. They want to assure the safety of all who attend the Jubilee and feel at this time it is in everyone’s best interest to be safe and stay closed throughout October, the manager said.

Jubilee closed

The Ponca City Gospel Jubilee will be closed Saturday, Oct. 2nd and Saturday, Oct. 9th due to Covid precautions.

Outstanding professional

Ben Evans, Entrepreneurial Services Coordinator with Pioneer Technology Center received the OKACTE (Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education) Outstanding Professional Award during a banquet for Oklahoma Summit this month. This award is meant to contribute to the professional development of members recognized as potential leaders of their division and the association. The award entitles six recipients to funding specified annually by the Oklahoma ACTE Advisory Committee toward expenses incurred at the annual ACTE convention. Each recipient will also receive a complimentary registration to the Oklahoma ACTE/ACTE Legislative Seminar. Evans was celebrated at the banquet attended by Administration from all technology centers in the state and local legislative guests.
