Following an executive session for the purpose of discussing the employment including evaluating candidates for the position of the President of Northern Oklahoma College at Wednesday’s meeting in Stillwater, the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents voted to hold a special Board of Regents meeting on May 15 including an executive session.

Tonkawa Film Festival Celebrates 5th Year With Special Guests

The Tonkawa Film Festival is gearing up to celebrate its 5th year with several exciting activities. In addition to their screenings on Friday and Saturday evening, they have also added a family friendly screening on Apr 20th at 2:30PM at Wilkin Hall. A big highlight of the film festival is its one-of-akind film festival parade which features visiting filmmakers from across this United States. This year’s parade will include a 1917 Packard from the film “Killers of the Flower Moon” and special guests world renowned hoop dancer Eric Michael Hernandez and Season 1 winner of Gordan Ramsay’s Next Level Chef, indigenous chef Pyet DeSpain. Following the parade, everyone will be treated to a post parade celebration at the Heart in the Park for a performance by Eric Michael Hernandez. The parade also includes cash prizes for Film Themed entries provided by First National Bank of Oklahoma – Tonkawa.
