Book sale discussed at NOC regents meeting

The Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa Library Renovation project continues and the college is preparing for the NOC Book Sale, President Dr. Clark Harris reported to the board of regents Wednesday. The NOC Book Sale, set for Aug. 4-7 in the Foster-Piper Fieldhouse, will allow community members to purchase books that have been removed from the NOC library collection.

NOC yearbooks now available

Northern Oklahoma College has a large assortment of college yearbooks that are available for free to the public.

County Properties to be offered for $1

The Kay County Treasurer would like to make the public aware that they will be conducting a special Commissioner’s Sale at 9:00 a.m. in the treasurer’s office on August 9th in the KAY COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.

IOOF Cemetery needs donations

The IOOF Cemetery is in need of donations to continue operation of the cemetery, Garry Davis announced this week. Brent Bailey is caretaker. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 121 with checks made to the Tonkawa Cemetery for upkeep.

Voter registration deadline is this Friday for runoff

Friday, July 29,2022 is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the August 23, 2022 Primary Election for Run off Primary Elections, and the Tonkawa School Bond Election Kay County Election Board Secretary Carol Leaming said today.

Sample ballots for Aug. 23 runoff primary election given

Sample ballots are now available for the August 23, 2022 Election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board’s OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Kay County Election Board during normal business hours.

NOC regents approve junior concurrent tuition waiver

Northern Oklahoma College Regents approved a measure Wednesday that allows high school juniors to receive a concurren enrollment tuition waiver.

Tonkawa Public Schools is calling for a $12,925,000 bond for the purpose of constructing a new centralized cafeteria. The vote will take place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at regular polling sites.
