Family members and friends gathered on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the United Methodist Church Family Center to honor Dr. Gerald O’Mealey for his service to the community and to congratulate him on his retirement. A graduate of Tonkawa High School and Northern Oklahoma College, Dr. O’Mealey earned the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from OSU in 1968 and began working at the Tonkawa Veterinary Clinic under Dr. M. L. Bergsten that same year.
Tonkawa High School Art & Humanities Club and THS National Honor Society students are presenting a make and take workshop this Saturday December 10th. All ages are welcome! The event will take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lincoln Senior Center. The center is located east of City Hall participants should enter on the south side of the building. Students, parents, and adults, can choose then paint a pre-made ceramic Christmas ornament and make a Christmas craft. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Nominations are now being taken for several awards to be presented at the annual chamber banquet Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, President Kristy Street Odell announced this week.
