Football Contest this week.Second place and $7 goes to Dawn McGaha. Third place tie and $1.50 each go to Tracy Summers and Shelly Martin.Martin and McGaha both submitted perfect entries. Martin was closest on the tie-breaker. He picked UCF to beat OSU 35-27, 37 points off the actual 3-45 UCF win. McGaha picked OSU to win 36-20, 58 points off.Several missed one game on the contest. Tracy Summers and Shelly Martin was both 49 points off on the tie-breaker with Summers picking OSU 42-35 and Martin picking OSU 38-31.Others missing just one game but farther off on the tie-breaker score were Mike Smith, Marissa and Travis Parker.Entries should be submitted to The News office at 126 E. Grand by noon Friday each week during the regular season.Prize money is $10 for first, $7 for second and $3 for third. Winners will be announced in the following week’s edition.
