Channel catfish slow on chicken liver and stinkbait around brush structure, creek channels, points and standing timber. Fishing has been up and down due to the weather conditions. Grand: March 22. Elevation 6 ft. above normal, water 53 and muddy. For current elevation conditions go to the US Army Corps of Engineers website at https://www.swt-wc.usace. army.mil/PENS.lakepage.html. The area has received4-5 inches of rain in the las few days. Neosho and Spring rivers are swelled out of the banks. Debris has come down the Neosho and Spring River(s) out of KS which has made the navigation of the waters tricky. Most of the fish bite has been slow due to the conditions. White bass fair on crankbaits, grubs, jigs, spinnerbaits and spoons along channels, main lake, river channel and river mouth. Crappie slow on minnows and tube jigs around docks and main lake. Paddlefish snagging has been slow-fair in some parts of the lake/Neosho River due to the high water levels.
