Robert, affectionately known as Bob by those who knew him best, was a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of many. He shared a beautiful and enduring love with his wife of 52 years Arlee Crane Freeman, who preceded him death in 2018. He was also an avid fan and supporter of Tennessee Tech basketball.

Bob’s passion for carpentry was evident in the beautiful bookcases and birdhouses he crafted, each piece a testament to his attention to detail and love for creating. His involvement with Boy Scout Troop 156 showcased his commitment to nurturing the growth and development

of young minds, instilling in them the values of leadership and service.

An avid traveler and wine collector, Bob’s zest for life was infectious. He had an uncanny ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life, and his sense of humor was a source of comfort and joy to all who were lucky enough to know him. Bob’s life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and service. He was a loving husband, a funny and devoted father, a doting grandfather, and a loyal friend.
