Matt Klinger, a five pound 12 ounce boy born at 8:30 a.m. today, has been named the winner of the First Baby of 1975 Contest and is the recipient of the many fine gifts offered by Tonkawa merchants to the first baby of the New Year born in the Tonkawa trade area.Matt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Klinger, 1101 North Seventh. He was born at the Ponca City hospital and was delivered by Dr. Carter W. Mathews. He joins a six year old sister, Sherry Renee and a 13 year old brother, Mark, in the Klinger home.Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Klinger, rural Tonkawa, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Manley, Billings, OK.Jack Harris Is Named 1975 Chamber PresidentA change in the 1975 officers for the Tonkawa Chamber of Commerce was made here Friday afternoon when the president-elect, C. M. Chuck Davis announced that is leaving the city. Elected to the presidency for the year was Jack Harris, owner of Jack Harris Furniture & Tire. He was vice presidentelect and would have served as president in 1976.New president-elect, who will lead the chamber next year is attorney Dick Pearman, who was vice president. Elected to serve as vice president for the year was Rod Carr, vice president of the First National Bank.Elected to serve on the board of directors replacing Davis was Larry Penn, vice president of the Service Bank.Ted Impson is the chamber teasurer for 1975.Money Bags, Checks, Cash Are Recovered A large amount of cash and checks, apparently taken from a holdup of the Express Bank of the Fourth National Bank, Wichita, Kansas, was recovered here today when two suspects, both from Oklahoma City, were arrested this morning on I-35 a half mile north of U.S. 60 at 8:25 a.m. by OHP Trooper Roger Sixkiller. He was assisted in the arrests by Deputy Sheriff Gary Sinclair and Police Chief Leon “Pete” Linton.After a search warrant had been obtained late this morning by Sinclair, officers drove out to where the car had been stopped and searched the vehicle. In the car’s glove compartment officers found an empty .25 caliber automatic pistol. The loot was found in the trunk of the vehicle.Bank officials at Wichita estimated the loss at $40,000 to $60,000 according to Det. Robert S.
