Hello Tonkawa! So begins another week of school for our Tonkawa Buccaneers! The Bucs kicked off the football season with a sizable win over Newkirk. There is a football game this week at Fairview! Softball has games against Blackwell (9/9), Fairview (9/10), and Glencoe (9/12) this week. There will also be a cross country meet at Hennessey on Saturday. Academic bowl is beginning to meet, so if you would like to join, make sure to start attending the practices! In addition to the many school activities going on, the Kay County Free Fair is this week. Head over to Blackwell for some food, rides, and art!This week’s quote is a personal favorite. “Do it or don’t do it— you will regret both,” said by Søren Kierkegaard. People are sometimes so hung up on the fear of regret that they do not understand both options have their risks, and therefore, both leave you in regret. In the same way, both have things you will not regret. This is the challenge of decision making. The ultimate choice is not from fear of the choice but rather in giddy anticipation of what may come of it. Let us remember this as we make our decisions this week!Have a wonderful week, Bucs!
