For a while now, the people at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society have been working in secret to unveil a new and impactful mural in their facility. Known as Molly’s Memory Mural, the new art installation was created to be a heartfelt tribute to the pets that have touched our lives and passed away. Molly’s mural is dedicated to the Greenwood family’s beloved dog Molly, who crossed Rainbow Bridge last December.“Molly, a stray taken in by the Greenwood family, is a fitting symbol of their decades-long commitment to being the voice for homeless pets in our community,” says Northern Oklahoma Humane society. This mural will serve as a reminder for all the pets that were loved dearly while still supporting the ones in need. Soon, the humane society will be offering plaque options to the surrounding communities for them to honor their own pets that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. They have yet to finalize the details on these plaques, but they are excited to offer this as a way to honor their pets and pay it forward to the animals in their care that are looking for a second chance. Thanks to local artist, Theresa Sacket, who donated her time and incredible artistry in painting the rainbow across their wall. Another Thanks to Make Kings for creating the paw shaped mural featuring pictures of Molly. Stay tuned to any further updates from the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society on the new plaques being offered by following their social medias, especially their Facebook at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society.
