The 24th annual Lucky Duck Derby was held on July 4, 2024, immediately following the downtown Tonkawa parade. This was the THS Alumni Association’s 11th Duck Derby. Two thousand five hundred and sixty seven ducks floated down the canal between North Avenue and Grand Avenue. The THS Alumni Association partnered with the Tonkawa Masonic Lodge for this year’s event. Proceeds will go toward graduating THS Senior scholarships to a college of their choice and THS Alumni projects. The winners this year are as follows: Grand Prize Winner: Duck #1144, Steve Womack Insurancy Agency in Tonkawa, won a 2024-2025 Family All Sports Pass (value $1,000 & is non-transferable) donated by Tonkawa Public School. 1st: Duck #1322, Trynlee Clinesmith, won a $750 prepaid VISA gift card donated by A-Line TDS in Tonkawa. 2nd: Duck #478, Mary Beth Williams, won a $750 prepaid VISA gift card donated by Schatz Strategy Group in Blackwell. 3rd: Duck #1531, Marcie Roth, won a $500 prepaid VISA gift card donated by First National Bank of Oklahoma in Tonkawa. 4th: Duck #1708, Weston Glenn, won a 323 piece Gearwrench Mechanics Tool Set (value $500) donated by Owen’s NAPA Auto Supply in Tonkawa. 5th: Duck #2363, Pat Harris, won a Custom Opalescence Teeth Whitening System (value $398) donated by Sarah J.
