On Saturday, April 6, 2024, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc. will host its 19th Annual Strike Up Some Fun Memorial Bowling Tournament at Lucas Lanes in Blackwell, Oklahoma. This year’s tournament will feature 4 squads, with up to 12 teams in each squad, for a total of up to 240 participants. The fun and relaxed event is a great way for community members to come together in support of our community’s only nonprofit Hospice provider, helping the agency continue to provide quality end-oflife care at no cost to patients. This year’s tournament is dedicated to the memory of Ronald Jaye Keith, a beloved member of Oklahoma’s bowling community. Ron was an avid bowler, a coach, a dear friend, and a mentor to many. Our community knows him best as the co-owner of Lucas Lanes. “This event honors Ron’s love of bringing people together to enjoy each other’s company while striving to become better at the sport we love,” says Amanda Doran, CEO of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. There are several ways to get involved with the event. Teams of 5 bowlers can register for a fee of $100 per team, which includes shoe rental, three games, and entry for door prize drawings. Individuals, groups, businesses, organizations and churches can also sponsor a bowling lane in Memory or in honor of a loved one for $100 with advertisement on the lane.If you are interested in bowling in the Memorial Bowling Tournament or would like to sponsor a lane in memory or in honor of a friend or family member, please contact the office at 580-7629102 or stop by 445 Fairview in Ponca City.
