50 years ago, February 14, 1974Chuck Davis Is President Of County Bankers Chuck Davis of the Tonkawa service Bank was named new president of the Kay County Banker’s Association when the group held regular meeting at Blackwell Country Club Wednesday night.Larry Hughes of Ponca City Security Bank is the new president and Carl Renfrow, of Pioneer, Ponca City, new secretary treasurer.W. W. (Bill) Rogers, Jr., president of the Security Bank and Trust Company of Blackwell, is retiring KCBA president, and acted as master of ceremonies after the dinner meeting attended by about 75 members and guests.Rodgers introduced Morrison Tucker, Oklahoma City banker and president-elect of the Oklahoma Banker’s Association who spoke on proposals being studied by the board which will be presented to the membership and eventually suggested for legislation.These measures deal with public money and bank structure, Tucker said.
