Isaiah Lively, Dominic Grein, Ryan Morgan, Dalton Pierce and Peyten Keith all won top awards at the annual Tonkawa football awards banquet Sunday afternoon at the grade school cafeteria.The event was presided over by Head Buc Football Coach Mike Kirtley. Assistants Chase Pfluger, Kale Dice and Simeon Shepherd assisted.Top awards won by the five seniors follow: Joe Esch Memorial -- Isaiah Lively.Chris M. Lucas Memorial Dom Grein and Ryan Morgan.Jim Minor Memorial -- Dalton Pierce and Peyten Keith.In opening remarks, Kirtley gave a history of the Bucs in the playoffs and their eight state championships. He also explained the battle cry of the Buccaneers: “Bear down, Buc up.”After introducing the team, by class, filmers and the ball girls, he presented the following additional awards: Ben Welch service award Ali Dice.Iron Man Award -- Kace Tautfest.Blade Award -- Loudyn Alexander.Impact Player -- Clayton Lopeman.Swiss Army Knife award Hayden Grell.All-Coaches team -- Kade Ditmore, Matt Gottman, Brett Shepherd, Westyn Freeman, Lucas Keith, Rush Brown, Barrick Wano, Gavin Ward, Alexander Fink, Jax Thompson and Cayden Duvall.All-District awards -- Seniors Jeffrey Lieb, Isaiah Lively, Dalton Pierce, Peyten Keith, Dom Grein and Ryan Morgan.
