The Tonkawa seventh grade posted a 12-0 win over Perry Monday night. The eighth grade fell 2-18.Kamden Sparks scored the first Buc touchdown on a two yard run early in the second quarter. Quarterback Maddex Ewy scored the second one from three yards out just 23 seconds before halftime.Junior Camp recovered an onside kick for the 7th graders off a kickoff byJace Gomez.In the eighth grade game, the lone score for the Bucs came on a safety by A.J. Johnson midway through the second quarter.Trailing 2-6, the Bucs got all the way to the Perry one yard line before being denied.Landon Brown had an interception for Tonkawa in the third quarter.Perry used two fumble recoveries of their own to score from seven, 66 and 6 yards away.The midhi teams will host Blackwell next Monday, Sept. 18, with the seventh grade game getting under way at 4:30 p.m. followed by the eighth grade and then the JV.
